Iron Maiden Drops Cryptic Clues About New Music, Hosting Virtual Listening Party This Week


Iron Maiden continues to leave breadcrumbs for fans about their new album, which will apparently be revealed in the next week or so. After postponing their 2021 tour dates to 2022, fans started noticing clues in the tour poster, some published reports connecting the dots, as well as flyers handed out at Download Pilot Fest, even though they didn’t specifically mention the band. In the mean time, the greatest band in heavy metal history has been busy. They have another fan listening party on Twitter this week, covering Seventh Son of a Seventh Son with host Tim Burgess. The band also released a new summer merch line and collaboreated with Funko on new Pops! Figures and colletibles.

Slipknot, Slayer, Ghost and Motörhead, ZZ Top, and Weezer “Pop! Rocks” Figures Coming Soon from Funko


Funko, the popular vinyl collectible toy company known for its highly collectible Funko Pop! Vinyl Figures spent the day Monday (January 21st) revealing new products all day today at London Toy Fair, including several new artist collaborations. Among the bands that Funko has partnered with are Slipknot, Slayer, Ghost And Motörhead, ZZ Top, and Weezer. Also revealed at the ToyFair were Pops for Eazy-E, Shania Twain, Willie Nelson, Lil Wayne, Salt N Pepa, and James Brown. Check out product mockups of the new collaborations below. Ghost Cult broke the news last year that Funko was planning at Papa Emeritus Pop. These new Pops are avaialble for pre-order now! Other artists who have gotten the Pop! Rocks figures in the past include Kiss, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Def Leppard, and Rob Zombie.Continue reading


Iron Maiden Funko Pop! Rocks Figures of Icon “Eddie” Mascot Coming Soon


Heavy Metal legends Iron Maiden have teamed up with unstoppable collectibles company Funko for a series of Funko Pop! Rocks vinyl figures in the form of their great mascot Eddie! The team-up was announced in a blog post to Funko’s website! Four different versions of Eddie, the iconic mascot of IRON MAIDEN, are available for pre-order. The figures capture Eddie in forms relating to the band’s first four LPs: “Pop! Iron Maiden Eddie”, “Pop! Killers Eddie”, “Pop! Number Of The Beast Eddie” and “Pop! Piece of Mind Eddie”. The post indicated that this series is only “wave one reimagining Eddie’s appearances,” implying that more figures will be coming in the future. Like much of their iconic album artwork, Eddie was created by artist Derrek Riggs.

Ghost To Release Exclusive Papa Emeritus II Funko Pop Vinyl’s at Hot Topic


In a leak reported by trade publication Pop Vinyl World, Ghost and Hot Topic have partnered to release an exclusive Funko Pop Vinyl of Papa Emeritus II pop. This news is amazing as Ghost pops have been long rumored to be in the works, with fans making their own incredible tribute pops, and the band has already delved into busts figurines and plush doll of Cardinal Copia. Die-hard fans are already going apeshit over this. Funko is one of the biggest collectible toy companies in the world, having held its IPO last year and becoming a major player in the business. Ghost, on the strength of 2018’s Prequlle album, is finishing their tour with Metallica this summer before their first headline arena tour of the USA this fall.
