Heavy Metal legends Iron Maiden have teamed up with unstoppable collectibles company Funko for a series of Funko Pop! Rocks vinyl figures in the form of their great mascot Eddie! The team-up was announced in a blog post to Funko’s website! Four different versions of Eddie, the iconic mascot of IRON MAIDEN, are available for pre-order. The figures capture Eddie in forms relating to the band’s first four LPs: “Pop! Iron Maiden Eddie”, “Pop! Killers Eddie”, “Pop! Number Of The Beast Eddie” and “Pop! Piece of Mind Eddie”. The post indicated that this series is only “wave one reimagining Eddie’s appearances,” implying that more figures will be coming in the future. Like much of their iconic album artwork, Eddie was created by artist Derrek Riggs.
In a leak reported by trade publication Pop Vinyl World, Ghost and Hot Topic have partnered to release an exclusive Funko Pop Vinyl of Papa Emeritus II pop. This news is amazing as Ghost pops have been long rumored to be in the works, with fans making their own incredible tribute pops, and the band has already delved into busts figurines and plush doll of Cardinal Copia. Die-hard fans are already going apeshit over this. Funko is one of the biggest collectible toy companies in the world, having held its IPO last year and becoming a major player in the business. Ghost, on the strength of 2018’s Prequlle album, is finishing their tour with Metallica this summer before their first headline arena tour of the USA this fall.
