The band is replacing 3TEETH, no longer on the bill.Finnish goth rockers The 69 Eyes are the direct suppoort to Ministry. EP REVIEW: Wednesday 13 – Necrophaze Antidote


Let’s just face facts, the past year has been grueling. The pandemic affected the human race tremendously, changing life on earth. Musicians, of all genres, have started to release music they made during the shutdown of everything everywhere, and most of it echoes the angst of being on lockdown. Enter Wednesday 13’s newest release, Necrophaze, Antidote (Nuclear Blast). Although the songs were recorded during the recording of Necrophaze (Nuclear Blast), the four tracks were a welcome reprieve from the current melancholy atmosphere of the music industry.

Wednesday 13 to Release “Necrophaze – Antidote” EP This Week


Wednesday 13 will release a new EP this week, April 16th, 2021, Necrophaze – Antidote via Nuclear Blast. The EP contains two new songs and two covers from the shock rocker/industrial metaller including “Devil Inside” by INXS and “Films” by Gary Numan featuring Calico Cooper of Beasto Blanco/Alice Cooper. Necrophaze – Antidote was produced by Devildriver guitarist Mike Sprietzer. Wednesday 13 was inspired by a craving for variety to create dual album artwork for this release. The covers showcase either end of the horror spectrum with a “Creepshow” comic book vibe for the LP artwork, and the eeriness of something akin to John Carpenter’s The Fog adorning the CD.

CONCERT REVIEW: Suicide Puppets – Live at Racehorse Tavern


Fresh off their win at the 1st annual Central Pennsylvania Music Awards (CMPA) for Best Metal Band, the Suicide Puppets made their debut at the Racehorse Tavern in Thomasville, Pennsylvania, in early February. The six-man local band from certainly delivered to an appreciative crowd. The band originally started years ago with Twisty Suicide and Jonny Suicide, under the name Fine Art of Hate. After some lineup changes, they changed the name to the Suicide Puppets in 2007 and Veritas Suicide joined them to become a three-piece. Not long after, Steven Suicide, Donnie, and Tattuicide joined to round out the current lineup which is a recipe that works well for them. Continue reading

Rock and Shock Festival Disbands


Sad news on the Festival and Convention front as the long-running Rock and Shock Festival in Worcester, Massachusetts has disbanded after 15 years. The announcement was made in a post to social media about the festival canceling all further festivals. The fest paired the best Horror convention and concert series in the USA and made use of both the famous Worcester Palladium venue and the convention center at the DCU Center up the block.
