James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett of Metallica performed their rendition of ‘The Star Spangled Banner’, The United States National Anthem, before Game 5 of the NBA Finals, played between The Golden State Warriors and The Cleveland Cavaliers. Watch the video at this link or below:

 

 

Metallica recently performed the anthem to open X Games Austin, from which they were the headliners. The band had participated in other sporting events near their home of the Bay Area of California such as the annual “Metallica Night” at Candlestick Park for San Francisco Giants baseball tam, playing in the past at Oakland Raiders Football games, and events with the nearby San Jose Sharks.

Metallica who performed this past weekend as part of X Games Austin, opened the proceedings with a performance of the United States National Anthem, ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’. The song was performed by James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett on guitar, which they have done at other sporting events in the past. See the video below:
