2020..What can I say? A year where Poppy releases a metal album and Glenn Danzig does an album of Elvis covers (for real go look it up)! Seriously though I think it was a bad year for everyone. Luckily there was some killer music to help us all get through. So, I’ve compiled a list of what helped me. This list was a lot harder to make than I first thought it was going to be so much good stuff out there. To be clear though, this isn’t a “best of” it’s just a list of my personal fav’s this year. Ripple Music, a label that exemplifies quality and integrity in underground music has announced an expansion to the east coast of the USA. They will open up a Baltimore office soon and also revealed plans to expand the staff of the label with another announcement coming soon. The former Kyuss and current Vista Chino drummer is handling guitar and mixes Stoner Rock, blues and Doom into a feverish hazy brew. Bjork has previously founded recording labels (El Camino and Duna Records), worked as a producer, and collaborated with LAB (featuring ex-Bl’ast members), Fatso Jetson, Fu Manchu and Mondo Generator (with Nick Oliveri)
