Metallica Pulls Out of Sonic Temple and Louder than Life Fests, Citing Personal Issues

Metallica has pulled out of their upcoming expected headline gigs at Sonic Temple this spring and Louder than Life next fall. This is due to James Hetfield’s ongoing recovery work and a need to prioritize his personal self-care, which has suffered in recent years. The band will honor all other shows this year, including Welcome To Rockville. Tool and The Red Hot Chili Peppers will step in for both festivals. Staind Have Booked Additional Festival Dates for 2020

Staind returned in 2019 after a five-year hiatus. Following acclaimed performances at Louder Than Life Festival, Aftershock Festival and two sold-out hometown shows, and 2020 is heating up for the band too with more tour dates and festivals. Rage Against The Machine Tour Dates Leak

According to a published report by Metal Sucks, Rage Against The Machine’s 2020 reunion tour has released the first batch of dates beyond the previously announced West Coast tour and Coachella Festival headline Dates. The post with the dates and the admat poster appeared on Twitter over the weekend (November 23rd) and then hastily deleted. If the post is legit, RATM will perform at Hellfest in France, Rock in Rio in Brazil, Riot Fest in Chicago and Louder Than Life in Louisville, KY  which assumes RATM will headline one day of each fest. The tour is scheduled to visit Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, Colombia, Brazil, with additional dates in the U.S. Planned for next fall. Continue reading

Metallica to Headline Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life, Aftershock, Welcome To Rockville, and Epicenter Festivals in 2020

Metallica has announced, in conjunction with Danny Wimmer Presents that the band will headline all of their major rock and metal festivals in 2020! In an unprecedented move, the biggest band of all-time will perform two nights of each three-night event, and play totally different sets each night. More details and many more bands to be announced for all of those fests, the first being Epicenter, which is about 203 days away. Other fests include Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life, Aftershock, and Welcome To Rockville. Tickets on sale this Monday, 10/14 at 9 AM PST/ Noon EST.

Frank Carter Seriously Injured in a Car Wreck, Tour Dates Postponed For this Week

Rough news to report at this hour as Frank Carter (Gallows) of Frank Carter and The Rattlesnakes was involved in a serious, head-on car crash this past weekend. Frank suffered a dislocated kneecap and other injuries, while his passenger was severely injured as well. Both are expected to recover. Unfortunately, due to the severity of the crash, and the injuries, and the short timeframe before international travel, Frank and the band have had to postpone this week’s run North American tour dates that were to have kicked off tonight in New York City at Bowery Ballroom. The affected dates include Baltimore, Philly, Detroit, Chicago and their appearance at Louder Than Life Festival. As of now, the band ought to be able to pick up their dates in October and are working on rescheduling the dates soon. Get well soon Frank! Continue reading

Slash Quells Rumor of New Guns N Roses Music Appearing in “Terminator: Dark Fate Movie”

In a surprising new interview with Eddie Trunk on his Trunk Nation SiriusXM Radio show, Slash categorically denied last week’s rumor of new music appearing from the band on the upcoming Terminator Dark Fate soundtrack. GNR has recorded new music (a cover most likely) and are working on ideas for a new album, but no new music will appear in the movie, according to Slash. ‘You Could Be Mine’ was used as the theme song for the second film in the Terminator series, 1991’s Terminator: Judgment Day. The band has a fall tour kicking off soon, at Louder Than Life. New Guns N Roses Music May Surface on The Terminator Dark Fate Soundtrack!

As we previously reported Guns N Roses has definitely been the in the studio in the last year and recorded new music, thought to be a cover for Record Store Day Black Friday. Now a report says that GNR rushed to finish a new song for inclusion on the upcoming Terminator Dark Fate movie! If you recall at the height of GNR mania in the early 1990s, the band was everywhere, including the Terminator 2 soundtrack with ‘You Could Be Mine!” An Australian GN’R fan page has reported that a new song is done and will be on the soundtrack. If this is true, it will be a major major rock music event in 2019. This is strictly in the “well-placed rumor” department, but it has some merit. Read below and decide for yourself!
