A cover version of Judas Priest’s “Breaking The Law” was featured in a new Super Bowl LVI commercial from Liquid Death, 100% Mountain Spring Water and Sparkling Water in 100_ recyclable aluminum cans. Liquid Death Drops “Greatest Hates Volume II” with Punk Rock Legends
The refreshing water and sparkling water in 100% recyclable cans, Liquid Death Mountain Spring Water, has throngs of fans, is wildely successful, but also has crazy haters on social media has dropped their second album in 2020! The band has dropped Greatest Hates Volume II across all digital and streaming services. The album will also be released on vinyl at a later date (fun fact: the first Greatest Hates vinyl sold out quickly — one is now even being resold for $220). Volume I featured Death Metal music, but Volume II Produced and mastered by punk musicians and industry veterans, the 14-track album is made up entirely of real hate comments from Liquid Death’s social media and online reviews. The record features Punk heroes such as Dan Andriano (Alkaline Trio), Tim McIlrath (Rise Against), Brendan Kelly (The Lawrence Arms), and Chris #2 (Anti-Flag), to name a few. Gruesome Drummer Gus Rios Hospitalized with Coronavirus
As first reported by Sick Drummer on social media, Gruesome drummer Gus Rios has been admitted to a Florida hospital after testing positive for coronavirus. Gus updated fans over social media and seems upbeat and positive he will beat this virus that as of today has killed 220,000+ Americans. We are big fans of Gus, the masterful Death metal drummer of many past bands, producer, and writer, who has two releases this year. He played on the Exhumed/Gruesome split and also wrote, produced, and performed on the excellent, but underrated Liquid Death album, Greatest Hates earlier in the year! Get well soon Gus!
GWAR to Host “Scumdogs XXX Live” Streaming Event
As the mighty mutant overlords, GWAR approaches the 30th-anniversary release of their classic Scumdogs of the Universe Deluxe Edition release via Metal Blade on October 30th, the band has announced a special event. This past weekend saw GWAR play their first-ever drive-in shows at the Diamond in Richmond, VA. More events may develop in the future. “Scumdogs XXX Live” live streaming concert event, presented by Liquid Death and Metal Injection. The livestream it set for the night of the release, Friday, October 30th with the pre-show starting at 6:00 PM Eastern. The live stream performance kicks off at 8:00 PM Eastern. Not one to take to savage trolling lightly, Liquid Death has created a Death Metal, Greatest Hates, album solely inspired by the hateful comments they have received online. They made the music with a veritable who’s who of music, including Gus Rios (Malevolent Creation, Divine Empire, Upon Infliction), Matt Laplant (Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, Nonpoint, Skindred, Malevolent Creation, etc.), Seth Ringler (Upon Infliction), Torin Ridgeway (Arsis), and Jim Malone (Arsis).
