ALBUM REVIEW: Killswitch Engage – Live At The Palladium

An interesting release from Killswitch Engage, metalcore royalty who at the beginning of 2020 had just commenced touring their latest album Atonement. But found themselves heading home as the pandemic struck, licking their wounds and unable to take one of their strongest records out on the road, for shows that included support from former vocalist Howard Jones’s band Light The Torch; Atonement featuring the crushing track (‘The Signal Fire’) which saw Jones trading vocals with current (and original) singer Jesse Leach, and the tour providing the perfect opportunity for both frontmen to hit the stage together. Joel Stroetzel Leaves the Killswitch Engage Tour Due to COVID-19

Killswitch Engage is currently on the road touring with August Burns Red and Light The Torch. The band has suffered a loss as guitarist Joel Stroetzel has gone home after contracting Covid-19. As reported by The PRP, fans initially noticed the musician’s absence on the band’s show in Portland, Maine on February 5th, with lead guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz later confirming that Stroetzel was out with a Covid infection. August Burns Red’s Dustin Davidson and JB Brubaker filled in for the Killswitch in Portland. The band will continue as a four-piece the rest of the tour with potential help from the other bands. I pull up to the parking lot of the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts. It’s been two years and a couple of months since the last time I was at one of these things. Killswitch Engage Rebooks Headline Tour August Burns Red and Light The Torch

As expected, Killswitch Engage has rescheduled it’’s previously canceled 2020 headline tour with August Burns Red and Light The Torch for Winter 2022. The shows kick off on January 28 in Pittsburgh and runs through March 12 in Philadelphia. All dates are below. Tickets are on sale at the link below. All three bands are leaders of modern Metalcore and LTT frontman Howard Jones served as KsE’s singer from 2002 through 2012. The band is supporting their recent album Atonement, out now via Metal Blade Records.

Slipknot Cancels Knotfest Roadshow in Alabama Due to Flooding

Slipknot has announced the cancelation of next weekend’s Knotfest Roadshow, featuring Killswitch Engage, Fever 333 and Code Orange, tour stop October 24th concert at Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Pelham, Alabama. This is due to flash floods in the region last week, making the venue unsuitable. You can check out our review of the tour here. CONCERT REVIEW: Knotfest Roadshow – Slipknot – Killswitch Engage – Fever 333 – Code Orange Live at DTE Energy Music Theatre

Entering DTE Energy Music Theatre was like walking into a theme park. There is a reason why it was rated first in the world for Pollstar’s 2019 year’s end rankings. Last weekend an army of black shirts with dyed hair walked through the outdoor amphitheater’s large gates. The late afternoon was pregnant with the infancy of Autumn which carried a refreshing crispness in the air. The tingly weather placed the multitude of concert goers in a rambunctious mood. The well-groomed music venue is accompanied with exceptional landscaping and pretty restaurants that set a peaceful tone which would be greatly contradicted with the night of mayhem ahead. Slipknot was in town, and they brought the Knotfest Roadshow with them.
