Ghost Cult Keefy sat down with Joe Nally of rising UK metal band Urne, whose new album “A Feast On Sorrow” just released via Spinefarm Records! The album is one of 2023’s best so far and although under the weather, Joe shares a bunch of insights about the album with us, including the impact of producer and mentor Joe Duplantier of Gojira !

London-based three-piece Urne announced themselves with the stylish Serpent & Spirit, one of the standout Metal debuts of 2021, and a gloriously dismal collection of songs that unashamedly paid homage to an influence of classic eighties Thrash Metal, mixed with an intriguing blend of traditional rock and melodic death metal.
I met Joe Nally around seven years ago on the biggest UK Metal tour there had been for an age. He was the frontman for Chapters, a progressive metal outfit that is still, to this day, the best opening act I’ve ever seen on a tour headlined by Sylosis but showcasing everything that was great about fiery yet accessible UK metal.Continue reading
