Saturday, and as will be of no surprise to anyone, it was pretty damn hot today too, people were noticeably moving much slower through the arena, and people were checking their phones for the forecast of tomorrow’s storm with excitement.

Not to dismiss the stories is it close the rather excellent download festival app a tool which I would find invaluable during my visit constantly advising incoming travellers of reach to avoid owing to congestion.Continue reading
FESTIVAL REVIEW: Sick New World Festival Live at Las Vegas Fairgrounds
Some people told me I was crazy when I decided I was going to go to the Sick New World Fest, a debut Metal and Rock Festival in Las Vegas. In the month of May. I hate to sound like a boomer and complain about the heat in Las Vegas, which is an actual desert, but the bottom line is I knew in advance it was going to be hot as hell, and it certainly lived up to that prediction. That being said, I was really excited to come to the festival enjoy a day with my metal community, meet new friends, and see some incredible bands; some I had never seen ever, and some I had not seen in a long time.

System Of A Down, Incubus, Korn, Evanescence and Deftones will headline Sick New World Festival this weekend, a new music festival featuring some of the biggest names in Nu-Metal, Goth Rock, Industrial Metal, and some modern bands as well! Among the dozens of bands on the bill, it will mark the reunions of both Flyleaf with Lacey Sturm and Coal Chamber. Other bands are promising some surprise sets as well as Ice-T’s Body Count might be joined by Ice’s daughter, Chanel Nicole! Metallica, Bring Me The Horizon and Slipknot headline a remarkable year for the UK’s biggest rock festival. Download Festival’s 20th anniversary has become a double celebration, as today the festival sells out, marking 2023 as the fastest-selling year of all time. Day, weekend and camping tickets have been snapped up by fans eager to celebrate an incredible 20 years for the legendary festival. CLASSIC ALBUMS REVISITED: Evanescence’s Debut Album “Fallen” was Released 20 Years Ago
Twenty years ago today (3/4/2003), Evanescence came on the scene with their debut album Fallen (Wind-Up Records) with a bonafide smash success out of the gate. Behind the scenes, there were growing pains for the young band, formed as teens in the mid-1990s. Mainly led by Amy Lee and Ben Moody, along with contributor David Hodges, the band from Little Rock, Arkansas practically exploded on the scene with an unlikely hit song the band was feeling reluctant about. However, it was the rest of the album that coalesced a style that the group ended up forging into a lasting sound they continue to ply to this day. Continue reading
