Beastie Boys, Faith No More, Radiohead, Alice Cooper, Rainbow, Bruce Springsteen, Heart, and More are Featured in Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3


 

 

Marvel Studios just released their latest film in The Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3. As is the trademark of all of director James Gunn’s movies, music plays a prominent role in the fabric of the film itself. In addition to using Rainbow’s “Since You’ve Been Gone” in the trailer, many songs from 1970s to the 2000s figure prominently in the movie including an unplugged version of Radiohead’s “Creep,” Faith No More’s first hit from the 1980s “We Care A Lot,” Beastie Boys’s “No Sleep Til Brooklyn” and many more. The film was written and directed by Gunn, and features an ensemble cast including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Will Poulter, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Linda Cardellini, Nathan Fillion, and Sylvester Stallone. Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of The Moon Classic “Eclipse” Featured in First Trailer for “Dune”


Dune, the classic sci-fi and fantasy property is coming back strong IN 2020 with a new version out this December. The first full trailer just dropped and it features a familiar song to Pink Floyd fans! The final track of Dark Side of The Moon, their all-time progressive rock classic, “Eclipse” can be heard in the trailer, with its especially prophetic lyrics about the human condition drawing a direct parallel to the deeper context of the book the film was based on. Those unfamiliar with Dune should delve into the book, the subject of many prog and metal albums, and an inspiration for Star Wars too! Dune is directed by Denis Villeneuve with a screenplay by Jon Spaihts, Villeneuve, and Eric Roth and stars an ensemble cast including Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya Coleman, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa and Javier Bardem.
