Bent Life Signs With Bridge Nine Records

Lincoln, NE hardcore outfit Bent Life has signed with Bridge Nine Records, and are working on their full length recording debut for the label, out later in 2015. Stream “Nail In The Coffin” below.

They formed in 2010, and have previously released EPs on 6131 Records and Lost Time and toured with the likes of Bitter End, Naysayer, and Alpha & Omega among others. Playing a punishing brand of heavy hardcore in the vein of Merauder and Outburst, the band’s next release will be the two-song 7″, Cheat Death on May 1st on Bad Teeth Recordings.

The band is currently on tour with Expire, Rotting Out, Suburban Scum and Mizery.

Today Is The Day and Lazer/Wulf Announce North American Tour

Today Is The Day have announced an upcoming North American tour for April and May with Lazer/Wulf. This is their first shows since their nearly fatal van accident last November. They have also completed two new music videos for “Heathen” and “Animal Mother” from their tenth full length album Animal Mother, which was released in October via Southern Lord. The video for “Heathen” has been commissioned to Marcos Morales and Neil Barrett of Novel Concept TV (Primitive Man, etc.), and the visual depiction of the title track, “Animal Mother,” to David Hall of Handshake Inc. (Brutal Truth, Lae, Maryland Deathfest: The Movie), who also directed the band’s intense “Masada” video. View them below.

The current Today Is The Day lineup is completed by bassist Trevor Thomas, drummer Douglas Andrae, and founding guitarist/vocalist, Steve Austin.

Deez Nuts are streaming their music video for “Face This on My Own,” off of their forthcoming album Word Is Bond, out April 21, 2015 in North America and April 27, 2015 in Europe via Century Media Records, below. The video was made in Melbourne earlier this year and was shot in just one take, along the street that frontman JJ Peters lives on.

Virginia’s Turnover is streaming their first track “Cutting My Fingers Off,” from their upcoming record Peripheral Vision, out on May 4, 2015 via Run For Cover Records below.

Recorded with Will Yip at Studio 4 in Conshohocken, PA, Peripheral Vision is a massive leap forward for Turnover, combining melancholy, textured guitars riffs and sincere vocals to create an expansive album as gorgeous as it is pensive.

Turnover formed in Virginia in 2009 and released their debut full-length, Magnolia in 2013 on Run For Cover Records, in addition to numerous EPs and splits. The band has toured the US and the UK multiple times, just this week embarking on a six-week spring tour (all dates below).
