In celebration of his forthcoming new album, Orgy of the Damned, out May 17 on Gibson Records, Slash has curated an all-star Blues lineup for the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Blues Festival touring North America this summer. The S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Blues Festival has now added a new date on Tuesday, July 16 in Salt Lake City, UT at the Red Butte Garden. Kris Barras Band has shared a new single and music video for “With You” from their album Halo Effect! Last week, band announced their intention to try to help save independent venue The Booking Hall in Dover, by booking a one-off show there this June to increase footfall and raise awareness of the plight facing the venue. When you think of British Post-Metal, Bossk are almost certainly one the first bands that spring to mind. A truly remarkable outfit that undoubtedly take influence from the likes of Isis, while they also often groove musically in the style of many of the great Stoner bands of the nineties. Named after an alien from Star Wars – The Empire Strikes Back, the Kent-based collective have been plugging away since 2005, when early EPs and a strong reputation as a live band saw them tour with the likes of Cult Of Luna, The Ocean, Baroness and Devil Sold His Soul. While their studio output really came into its own with the release of their fine debut LP Audio Noir in 2016, before following this up with the equally as classy Migration in 2021.Continue reading

Kerry King the cofounder of Slayer played for the fuirst time ever with his solo band last night, Tuesday (May 7th) at Reggies in Chicago, Illinois. The group performed 17-songs including six Slayer tracks as well as eleven of the thirteen songs that appear on King’s coming debut solo album, From Hell I Rise, due out on May 17 via Reigning Phoenix Music.
