Metalcore mainstays Zao recently announced that they will be releasing their new EP, Pyrrhic Victory, on November 3rd via Observed/Observer Recordings. Along with that announcement came ‘The Host Has Bared Its Teeth’ single, and now you can hear ‘Clawing, Clawing, Never Cutting Through’ below!

Frontman Daniel Weyandt said this on the track, “The song lyrically started by messing with phrases and visuals. It’s a vague, loose approach at expressing my thoughts on the current political climate as a whole, while at the same time addressing the obsession with the past, romanticizing it, trying to relive it and bring it back to the present: the desperate last gasp of a dying animal.”
