Indie artist Ray Hodge has released a new video from his forthcoming new EP, Braveheart due out on October 28th. You can watch the video for his new single ‘Voodoo’ below:
Produced by Alexa San Roman (Heirsound), the video is a welcome to the fall and Halloween season with its eerie vibe. Ray commented about the track:
“What I want the song to those who are listening, do not let the negativity of your surroundings make, break or create your day. Especially when it starts to make it hard to do anything, like breathe. Just let them bad spirits go.”
With an incredible range, Ghost Cult once called Ray Hodge “one of the greatest singers we have ever heard”. Hodge spent many years as a fixture in the new your music scene honing his stage show and his influences coalescing into his own distinct style that can be said to be a blend of indie pop and soul.
Hodge commented further on his approach to music:
“What I try to do differently than other artists is to make it about more than just the lights and glam, more than just a lyric or a good song. I create the land and the fans build the houses. In that, we make this place our place, where we become the Vibrations and electricity and in that form,we are one. We are not alone. I make it ok to release the happiness, sadness, or anger as we share it among each other in these moments we purify.”
