Finland’s Wintersun inspires droves of fans and other bands with their progressive folk-metal enmeshed with heavier influences. Watch this duo slay with this acoustic cover of the modern classic ‘Land Of Snow And Sorrow’.

The video was made by members of New England metal bands: Haydee Irizarry, the frontwoman for the brutal melo-death band Aversed, while Devon Morancie played lead and rhythm guitar for blackened deathmetal up and comers Ashen Wings. Irizarry who attends Berklee College of Music in Boston, frequently posts vocal covers across a plethora of styles, and really impressed us here. The track was mixed by Jack Kosto (Seven Spires).

Wintersun is recording their long-awaited new album, Time II, for a 2017 release via Nuclear Blast.
