The Underground Heavy Metal Scene Mourns the Loss of Eric “La Bestia” Morales

Puerto Rican singer Eric “La Bestia” (The Beast) Morales passed away on Saturday, March 6th due to a sudden heart attack while singing in Cidra, Puerto Rico.
Eric was the frontman and leader of the Epic Doom Metal band Dantesco and his resume included singing duties in the Puerto Rican Heavy Metal band Power Lord back in the 1990s and singing and touring with the classic Heavy Metal band Omen. With Dantesco, “La Bestia” was able to play in the U.S., Central America, and Europe in festivals like “Keep It True” and “Doom Shall Rise” festivals.

Eric also owned the only Heavy Metal record shop in Caguas, Puerto Rico called “Odin’s Court”. He was a fearless advocate for Heavy Metal in Puerto Rico and gave the chance to many new bands to be part of the scene, always thinking of making Puerto Rico a spot for quality Metal.

Here at Ghost Cult Magazine, we mourn the loss of a great icon in the underground music and we send our respects to the family, friends, and fans of Eric Morales.

Rest In Power.

All sales go to Eric’s family, please support.
