The Patio At Lemmy’s Favorite Bar In LA Now Named Lemmy’s Lounge

Lemmy and JD

For 50 years until his passing last December, Ian “Lemmy” Killmister of Motörhead was synonymous with rock n roll and badassery. The Rainbow Bar And Grill in Hollywood was synonymous with Lemmy, since it was his favourite haunt on the strip in his adopted country. Now the patio at The Rainbow is now and forever known as “Lemmy’s Lounge”.

Already home to a life-size bronze statue of Lemmy, The Rainbow attracts fans from all over the world, and Lemmy’s Lounge will allow hardcore fans and casual patrons alike to sample the wares and atmosphere that Lemmy loved so much.

Roxy owner Nic Adler and Goldenvoice’s Paul Tollett have kindly agreed to allow the painting of a celebratory mural commemorating the life of Lemmy and Motörhead on the side wall of the Roxy, opposite Lemmy’s Lounge and statue.

Motörhead’s management is seeking a local L.A. muralist painter that is interested in the opportunity to provide their services to paint this immortal artwork in celebration of our fallen hero’s life. Interested parties should fill the form at www.lemmyslounge.com to submit their resume. The closing date for submissions is December 24, 2016.
