Tegan and Sara’s song “Everything Is Awesome” was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song in The Lego Movie. They will compete with Glory (Selma), Grateful (Beyond the Lights), I’m Not Gonna Miss You (Glen Campbell…I’ll be Me) and Lost Stars (Begin Again).

This is their first Academy Award nomination, as well as Shawn Patterson, who wrote the music and lyrics for the song. The 87th Academy Awards air live on Sunday, February 22, 2015.
