Funko, the popular vinyl collectible toy company known for its highly collectible Funko Pop! Vinyl Figures spent the day Monday (January 21st) revealing new products all day today at London Toy Fair, including several new artist collaborations. Among the bands that Funko has partnered with are Slipknot, Slayer, Ghost And Motörhead, ZZ Top, and Weezer. Also revealed at the ToyFair were Pops for Eazy-E, Shania Twain, Willie Nelson, Lil Wayne, Salt N Pepa, and James Brown. Check out product mockups of the new collaborations below. Ghost Cult broke the news last year that Funko was planning at Papa Emeritus Pop. These new Pops are avaialble for pre-order now! Other artists who have gotten the Pop! Bowie, Blondie, The Doobie Brothers, Gary Numan, Peter Gabriel, Talking Heads, Red Rider Music Heard in Mindhunter Season 2


If you are like us, you spent the weekend binge-watching Season 2 of the amazing Mindhunter series on Netflix. The followup to the Emmy Award-winning 2017 series is a drama based on the real events of the founding of the Behavioral Science Unit of the FBI in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Produced and sometimes directed by David Fincher (S7ven, Fight Club, Zodiac) and starring Jonathan Goff, Holt McCallany, and Anna Torv, the main characters are FBI profilers and they interview serial killers and investigate cases during the show. As they did in season one, the music of the time plays a huge role with the soundtrack, sound design, songs heard in the show. Music in season two features artists such as Blondie, The Doobie Brothers, Peter Gabriel, Talking Heads, Willie Nelson, Marianne Faithful, Pretenders, The Brothers Johnson, Boston, Joan Armatrading, Kenny Rogers, Red Rider, The Police, Patti Smith Group, Christopher Cross, Sammy Davis Jr., Gary Numan, Pat Benatar and more. Even a Charles Manson song is heard in Episode 5 which features Manson himself portrayed by Damon Herriman, who also plays Manson in Quentin Tarantino’s current film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Devildriver – Outlaws ‘Til The End Vol. 1


You may or may not cringe when people say “everything’s been done before” depending on your taste in music. Fans can be a jaded lot, and there is so much noise to cut through to find new sounds to rock out to, it’s understandable to hesitance to think outside your typical playlists. Devildriver in their career have been nothing, but resilient, consistent, and heavy. Their cover of ‘Sail’ by AWOLNATION proved they could get out of their comfort zone, and impress.
