Playing a collection of hits, deep cuts, and more, the band brought their customary huge spectacle of a show to the fans! Welcome to Rockville has announced their 2022 headliners for their return to the festival! Returning to a spring event schedule, the fest taking place at Daytona Motor Speedway from May 19th to 22nd will feature KISS, Korn, Guns N Roses, and Foo Fighters each night of the fest! Early bird tickets are on sale now! This years’s fest features headliners Metallica (twice) Slipknot, who performed last night to close the first the day and Disturbed with many other bands. Los Angeles Industrial Metal band Contracult Collective have shared a cover version of hardcore punk pioneers Bad Brains’ 1986 single “Sacred Love” along with a music video! The clip features the bands’ performance and behind-the-scenes footage from their recent performance at Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, headlined by Metallica and Misfits among many others. They topped the bill on two nights, with two different shows, including one where they performed all of “The Black Album.” In addtion to upcoming fests like Aftershock and Welcome To Rockville, they also recently played series of rare intimate shows earlier this month at the The Metro in Chicago and The independent in San Francisco. The band texted their fans via a new service and the tickets to the tiny venues, and both shows sold out in less than 1 hour. Metallica played another surprise concert in a tiny venue compared to their usual arena gigs. They played a “pop-up concert” at The Metro in Chicago Monday night September 20, 2021, which only holds 1000 people. Tickets were announced by text and social media and were sold out in one hour. The tickets sold for just $19.83, a reference to the year 1983, when the band last appeared at Metro. The band played their hometown of San Francisco last thursday at The Independent, which holds a maximum occupancy of 500. “Florida’s Biggest Rock Experience” is back as Welcome To Rockville has announced its lineup for 2021. The fest is now four days and takes place for the first time later in the year in November 11-14 At Daytona International Speedway In Daytona Beach, Florida. Bands announced to perform include headliners Metallica (two nights) and Disturbed, along with Rob Zombie, Deftones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Lamb Of God, Social Distortion, The Offspring, Staind, Mudvayne, Cypress Hill, Chevelle, Mastodon, Stone Temple Pilots, Asking Alexandria, and many more.
Mudvayne is back! As we reported they would several months ago, they have announced their return after a 12-year hiatus, and will be performing exclusively at all four Danny Wimmer Presents U.S. festivals in 2021: Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival (a headlining performance) in Ohio, Louder Than Life in Kentucky, Aftershock in California and Welcome To Rockville in Florida.
