And two words. Black Sabbath.

On the record: Rain. Thunder. A tolling bell. Those three notes. That voice.

And just like that, in February of 1970 – appropriately enough on the 13th – the face of music was changed forever.

Avenged Sevenfold Is Working On New Music, May Record Later This year.


Only 15 months removed from the release of The Stage, and its expansive stream of singles, covers and a deluxe edition, Avenged Sevenfold is already plotting a course for a new album. Frontman M. Van Halen’s Debut Album Turns 40 Years Old


Born from the Hollywood glam scene in the 1970s, the best classic rock musicianship in history, and a nod to punk rock independence, Van Halen burst on the scene and changed the face of music overnight. It may have been a foregone conclusion to those that saw them at the time that they would “make it”. The Chili’s new album, The Getaway (Warner Brothers), will début June 17. Produced by Danger Mouse and mixed by Nigel Goodrich, the albums’ the first single, ‘Dark Necessities’, premiered earlier this month. Pre-orders are live now and come with both singles as instant grat tracks.
