Bloodstock Open Air is barreling into 2020 by adding a bunch of new bands to the bill. Hatebreed, Bury Tomorrow, Sylosis, Toxic Holocaust, Winterfylleth, Exhumed, and Necrot have all joined the bill! Bloodstock’s 2020 main stage headliners are Devin Townsend (Friday), Behemoth (Saturday), And Judas Priest (Sunday). The festival also welcomes Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Skindred, Paradise Lost, Life Of Agony, Black Dahlia Murder, Diamond Head, Jinjer, Vio-Lence, Sacred Reich, Gloryhammer, Dark Tranquility, Butcher Babies, Cattle Decapitation, Bloodywood, Memoriam, Ramage Inc, Green Lung, & Bossk so far. Sacred Reich Joins Sepultura on North American Tour

Blazing into 2020 on the strength of an amazing year with their comeback album Awakening, Metal Blade artists and thrash legends Sacred Reich will start the new year on the road a lot! They will join Sepultura on their North American “Quadra Tour”. Other bands on the bill include Crowbar and Art of Shock! The trek begins March 18th in San Diego, California and makes its way through over two dozen cities upon its conclusion April 22nd in Ventura, California. Tickets are on sale now! Disciples of Verity Share Music Video for “Lying To Myself”, Tour Dates This Week

Rock and Metal supergroup Disciples of Verity (DOV) have shared a new official music video for their new song ‘Lying To Myself’ featuring Phil Demmel of Vio-Lence. The band counts Corey Glover (vocalist Of Living Colour and Bowie Experience), George Pond (bass, ex Negative Sky), Corey Pierce (drums, God Forbid), Mark Monjoy (rhythm guitar, Sekond Skyn), and Danny Puma (lead guitar, Negative Sky) and their debut album is due out in 2020 at a date tbd. Aside from Demmel who shreds all over the new track, the album boasts guest appeances from Morgan Rose (Sevendust), Jeff Loomis (Arch Enemy), Tara McLeod (Kittie), Mike Antine (Majul), JJ Sammataro (Negative Sky) and solo artist Joe Gareri. FESTIVAL REVIEW: Decibel’s Metal & Beer Fest 2019

Decibel Magazine’s Decibel Metal & Beer Fest was, to put it simply, stacked. Fourteen bands across all variants of Death, Grindcore, Prog, and Doom, descended onto Orange County for a weekend of heart-pounding jubilation. The two-day event was held this year at The Observatory, a large yet paradoxically intimate standing-room-only venue, intelligently designed to put the audience at three different heights across the entire space, offering uninhibited views of the stage beyond the perils of the pit. EP REVIEW: Black Talon – Existential

Formed in 2010, Edinburgh thrashers Black Talon follow up their 2015 debut Endless Realities (Wasted State Records) with independently released five-track EP Existential. Sounding like a modern Scottish version of the 1980s Bay Area, this short release is replete with riffs and melodies similar to the likes of Forbidden, Testament and Dark Angel with vocals owing a debt to Vio-Lence and UK thrashmonkeys Acid Reign.
