Entertainment One (eOne) Music will release a limited-edition vinyl repressing of One Wing, the fifth and final studio album from hardcore unit, The Chariot. Initially released in 2012 through eOne and Good Fight Music, One Wing was described by the band as being their “weirdest” release to date. Rock Sound championed a, “ruthless, heartbreaking, and agonizingly profound release from a truly unrivalled band,” Kerrang crowned One Wing a, “weird, unconventional and utterly thrilling classic,” while All Music wrote, “On One Wing, The Chariot avoids the pitfalls that have caught up many a band, striking just the right balance between technique and raw fury to create a sound that is both emotionally and intellectually satisfying.” The critically lauded offering served as the band’s highest-charting album of their career debuting at number 85 on the Billboard 200 upon its first week of release.
All three of Geezer Butler’s 1990s solo albums apart from Black Sabbath reunions are getting reissued. Plastic Planet (1995), Black Science (1997), and Ohmwork (2005) will be avaialble on vinyl for the first time ever, with both CD and LP using newly updated cover artwork and all will be available via BMG on October 30. Plastic Planet featured Fear Factory vocalist Burton C. Bell, with its incendiary single “Drive Boy Shooting,” and is considered a highlight of that time. In an upcoming interview with Ghost Cult, Bell remarked that he would “jump at the chance” to make another GZR album. That interview is coming soon. Purchase the albums at the link below.
