Chris Cornell Statue Unveiling Ceremony Announced In Seattle


Soundgarden has gone down as one of the most important bands to ever come out of Seattle, Washington. Chris Cornell’s 2017 death devastated the music world and spawned countless tributes cementing his legacy. Now a statue erected in Cornell’s memory has its unveiling date, on October 7th. “Chris Cornell: An Everlasting Tribute to Seattle’s Son” will be unveiled by Chris’ wife Vicky Cornell and the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP). Following the unveiling, footage of Soundgarden’s performance at The Wiltern, captured by the Artist Den, will be screened inside MoPOP’s Sky Church. More details can be found below. Continue reading
