Underoath Books Tour Dates with Every Time I Die and Spiritbox


 

Underoath, who just announced their new album Voyeurist, coming in winter of 2022 via Fearless Records, has booked a 2022 headline tour with Every Time I Die, and Spiritbox as direct support. The North American tour kicks off in Dallas, and crisscrosses the USA, into Canada, and ends in Atlanta. The presale takes place this Thursday at 10AM with password ETIDVOYEURIST, while the public on sale is this Friday at 10AM local time.

Five Finger Death Punch, Rob Zombie, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, Limp Bizkit, and More Confirmed for Blue Ridge Rock Festival


Quickly shaping up to be the biggest music festival in the USA this year, Blue Ridge Rock festival has announced their full line-up of 180 bands. Headlining the massive 4 day festival are Five Finger Death Punch, Rob Zombie, Shinedown, Breaking Benjamin, and Limp Bizkit. There is a special club warm up show which includes headliner Ludacris, T-Pain, and Lil Jon. Also on tap: the Hellzapoppin Circus Sideshow Revue, a vaudeville freak show of wonder by Hellzapoppin’s Ringleader and Producer, Mr. Bryce “The Govna” Graves. In addition, excitingly, the festival will be hosted by Steve-O (MTV’s Jackass); and special guest Lou Brutus (SiriusXM). The fest takes place September 9th – 12th at Blue Ridge Amphitheater, a long-awaited large-scale concert venue in Southwest Virginia. Former Underoath Guitarist Corey Steger Has Died, Age 42


Former Underoath guitarist Corey Steger has died, tragically as a result of a car accident this week, on March 17th. He was rear-ended in a two-car accident and died. No other information has been released as of yet. The news was reported on Facebook by drummer and friend Dallas Taylor. Steger joined the band in 1998 and played lead and rhythm guitar on Underoath’s influential first three albums: 1999′s Act of Depression, 2000’s Cries of the Past, and 2001’s The Changing of Times. Taylor commented in a lengthy, heartfelt Facebook post.

ALBUM REVIEW: Portrayal of Guilt – We Are Always Alone


Who decided to file Portrayal of Guilt under Screamo? Where should we file them? I don’t know, that’s for folks who spend their time and energy in the endless heavy music genre debates and on websites like Encyclopaedia Metallum to decide. You know, the type of people that will insist that Annihilator isn’t a Thrash band as they really fall under Speed Metal. They are truly doing the Lord’s work. But to slap the screamo tag on Portrayal of Guilt, particularly on We Are Always Alone (Closed Casket Activities) seems a bit simplistic.

Korn’s Munky To Leave the Tour for the Birth of His Child, Replacement Named


Korn’s James “Munky” Shaffer will leave their current co-headling tour with Alice in Chains, Underoath, Fever 333 and Ho99o9 to be with his wife for the pending birth of his daughter.
