Inferno Metal Festival has booked its final five bands for the 20th anniversary in 2020, and they are all legends. Triumph of Death (Hellhammer/Celtic Frost band led by Tom G. Warrior), Amorphis, Asphyx, Oranssi Pazuzu, and The Great Old Ones will perform at the fest in Oslo, Norway next spring, on 9-12 of April. The full lineup and details can be found below. 1349 Shares Video for ‘Dødskamp’, New Album Due Next Month

Norwegian black metal masters 1349 have shared a new music video for their track ‘Dødskamp’. The track was originally recorded in conjunction with the Edvard Munch museum and will appear on the band’s new record, ‘The Infernal Pathway.’ The clip, which was filmed and edited by Carl Eek Torgersen / Necrolust Productions at Inferno Festival 2019 in Oslo. Their new album Infernal Pathway is due out on October 18th via Season Of Mist! The record was recorded in Amper Tone studios and Studio Nyhagen with engineer Jarrett Pritchard earlier this year. The band previously announced a North American headline tour dates for this fall, in which they will be supported by Uada and Cloak. The trek will kick off on October 25 in Jacksonville, FL and will conclude on November 16 in Atlanta, GA. Continue reading

Today is the day! The third annual Decibel Metal and Beer Festival takes place today at the Fillmore in Philadelphia! Fourteen of the best bands and some of the best craft brewers in the world converge in Philly for all the mayhem. Swedish dark progressive band Tribulation won the Swedish Grammis award this week for their 2018 album Down Below (Century Media) in the category “Best Hard Rock / Metal Album”. The band will release their EP Melancholia, next week for the first time on Vinyl. Quebec Deathfest – Live At Various Venues

The first ever Quebec Deathfest took place last month, from the folks that brought you Maryland Deathfest, Netherlands Deathfest, and more. Taking place across several venues in the metal capital of Canada, Quebec, the fest had many of the highlights of other festivals (multiple stages, vendors, lots of beer) that make this a worthy inclusion of your annual concert calendar. Bands on the bill included death metal greats like Autopsy, Demolition Hammer, Exhorder, Uada, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Malignancy, Unleashed, Skinless, Skeletal Remains, Outre-Tombe, Bell Witch, Dehumanized, Tomb Mold, and many more. Psycho Las Vegas has grown and evolved over the years and has shaken off any comparisons to niche European fests and your traditional US fest, itself having no close comparisons, and being its own beast.
