COVID-19 Crowdfunding Campaign Launched to Support The Worcester Palladium and The Webster Theater

The Palladium, Worcester, MA 11/22/19

An Indiegogo campaign has been launched to support the employees of both The Worcester Palladium and Webster theatre, two venues in New England that have been hosts to thousands of metal, hardcore, and rock shows and countless other events for decades. FESTIVAL REVIEW: Download Festival UK 2019

Throughout the journey from my home in the North of England to Leicestershire’s infamous Download Festival, I could be sure of only two things as a first time attendee; that I would absolutely see Tool headline, and that I would have to endure what was to become the muddiest weekend of my life in order to reach that point.Continue reading

Twelve Foot Ninja – Uneven Structure: Live At Mama Roux’s, Birmingham UK

Well my first, and in all honesty probably last, visit to Mama Roux’s in Birmingham was certainly eventful. Once inside the first thing you notice is that a lot of thought has gone into Mama Roux’s and the décor is sublime, the next thing you notice is that it’s unbelievably tiny. Honestly, it makes the Alma inn in Bolton look roomy, and 45 minutes before the first band were to play and the sold-out gig was already ominously crowded.

To say France’s Uneven Structure seemed cramped on the tiny stage would be an understatement, the makeshift stage extension of flight cases with monitors perched on top made it possible for them to stand up, but it did seem to hamper their performance somewhat once their energetic set began.Continue reading

Disturbed, by Meg Loyal Photography

Sacramento, California once again hosted the top west coast rock and metal festival in America this year as Monster Energy Aftershock took over NorCal for an entire weekend. The lineup was killer, the fest goers were chill, and the non-music events and activities were fun for all. Danny Wimmer Presents and the team at AEG Live who also put on fests such as Rock On The Range, Monster Energy Welcome To Rockville, Monster Energy Fort Rock, Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion, Louder Than Life and more do a fantastic job from start to finish, as with every fest they manage. Rock Allegiance Festival: Talen Energy Stadium

Rock Allegiance 2016 banner ghostcultmag

The second annual Rock Allegiance Festival and was one of the most fun times I can remember at a music festival. From the location on the water outside of Philly to the stadium, to the third stage area, food options, beer gardens, VIP amenities, signings and special performances and of course the bands; this was a dream to a music lover with many types of rock, metal, and punk bands represented. It was also my birthday , so it was especially rad!Continue reading
