Extortionist Drop Single and Video for “Devoid of Love & Light” and Announce New Album



Extortionist have announced that they will release their new album, Devoid of Love & Light, on Friday, May 17th, via Unique Leader Records. They band have also shared the title track as a single and video. It follows their Devoid EP (the precursor to the forthcoming full-length) which included the tracks “Out of Touch”, “A Grim Disconnect” and most recently released, “Drained of Life”. Extortionist will also be hitting the stage across North America from April, alongside Born of Osiris, Attila, Traitors, and Not Enough Space on The Angels & Villains Tour 2024. Fronz Exits The Big Six (Lorna Shore, FFAA, Left To Suffer, Traitors, Infant Annihilator), and Will Be Replaced by Darius Tehrani of Spite


 

In just a few short weeks since forming and announcing their existence to the world, The Big Six has had a lineup change. The Big Six – The Big Six – a deathcore supergroup and self-described “Metal Boy Band” featuring Lorna Shore’s Will Ramos, Attila’s Chris Fronzak, Fit for an Autopsy’s Joe Badolato, Left to Suffer’s Taylor Barber, Infant Annihilator’s Dickie Allen, and Traitors’ Tyler Shelton have now lost Fronz as a member. Fronz announced via his Instagram that he is leaving the Big Six and has no longer been involved in the project citing that due to his commitments in Attila, his businesses, and family. Darius Tehrani, frontman of Spite will take his spot. The band scrubbed their socials excepot for one new post, welcoming Darius into the fold. The group recently dropped their first official teaser of original music. The collective recorded their debut EP at Sweetwater Studios in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After their cover of Mariah Carey‘s Chirstmas hit and earworm staple “All I Want For Christmas Is You“, the new teaser is more on brand for the group and what the EP will sound like.

The Big Six – the self-described Deathcore “Metal Boy Band” featuring Lorna Shore’s Will Ramos, Attila’s Chris Fronzak, Fit for an Autopsy’s Joe Badolato, Left to Suffer’s Taylor Barber, Infant Annihilator’s Dickie Allen, and Traitors’ Tyler Shelton previously announced their formation, name change, and an EP coming out in 2023. Now they have shared a Christmas cover of Mariah Carey’s ubiquitous hit song “All I Want for Christmas Is You!” One of the most played and covered songs ever, the track has also been famously covered by metalcore band August Burns Red. The band recently recorded their debut EP at Fort Wayne, Indiana’s Sweetwater Studios, and shared a lot of shenannignas on social media.

Gift Giver is streaming “Cursed,” off their Century Media debut album Shitlife, out April 21, 2015 in North America, here.

Formed in the fall of 2012, Gift Giver gained notoriety and repute through their self-released EP, Daddy Issues, and constant touring through the US with acts such as Sworn In, Kublai Khan, Barrier and many more. Appearances at the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival, Skate and Surf Fest and Michigan’s own Dirtfest raised their profile even higher, making them one of the most buzzed about bands in the scene.

They recently announced their next US run of shows with Barrier, Villains, Traitors and Adaliah. Now they have just confirmed plans for a tour in March and April with Sworn In and The Plot In You.
