With the news of the reunion of Rage Against the Machine, Prophets of Rage’s chapter as a band carrying on that legacy is now over. That supergroup included Tom Morello (guitar), Brad Wilk (drums) and Tim Commerford of RATM along withHipHop legendsChuck D of Public Enemy and B-Real of Cypress Hill. Just after the RATM reunion was announced for a series of shows in 2020, including an appearance at next year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Chuck and B-Real each posted to social media confirming their band is done.
Rage Against the Machine‘s Tim Commerford teamed up with Laurent Grangeon and Mathias Wakrat back in 2015 to create the pissed off, alt-punk-influenced Wakrat, and their debut album finally hit stores last year via Earache Records. Continue reading →
