Rock supergroup Them Crooked Vultures reunited for the first time since 2010 to play a three-song set at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert at Wembley Stadium in London. The band played one original “Gunman” and two covers. They opened with “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” by Elton John, and closed with “Long Slow Goodbye” by Queens of The Stone Age.
Rock And Roll Hall of Famer and legend Dave Grohl, best known from his tenure fronting Foo Fighters, drumming for Nirvana, and Them Crooked Vultures has announced a limited tour to promote his new book, The Storyteller (Harper Collins), due out on October 5th, 2021. “The Storyteller” Live And In Person is an limited run of intimate dates where Dave will bring the book and his stories to the fans. Two icons of rock music who barely need an introduction are John Paul Jones and Thurston Moore. Jones of Led Zeppelin and Them Crooked Vultures fame and Moore, best known for Sonic Youth and black metal supergroup Twilight will hold a one-off concert in London at 100 Club, on 28th of March. They will be joined by acclaimed Jazz drummer Steve Noble. Dubbed in a post to Jones’s page, “A unique musical meeting of three of the most inventive performers of our time.” The event is a fundraiser to benefit [London radio station] Resonance FM.
