I had to take a moment when Desertfest New York was announced. I only had gotten to experience a real European Festival once in the last few years of my life and it was a game changer. Yet, I had yet to enjoy a Desertfest yet. The excitement I felt getting have this festival come practically to my backyard, and into two clubs I visit with regularity was just icing on the cake. Monolith On The Mesa Music Festival took place last weekend and by all accounts, it was a major rager of a good time. Taking place at Taos Mesa Brewing (The Mothership and Taos Tap Room) the festival featured Om, The Obsessed, Dead Meadow, The Well, Tia Carrera, Wovenhand, Pinkish Black, Castle, Crypt Trip, EYE, Wino solo (unplugged), True Widow and many more on both indoor and outdoor stages with visual artist installations and camping. FESTIVAL PREVIEW: Monolith On The Mesa Music 

The time is nigh! The epic Monolith On The Mesa Music festival kicks off tonight in Taos, New Mexico, with their pre-party!  Amon the throngs of people descending on Taos will be our contest winner Stephanie Montoya who won weekend passes for her and a friend to the fest!
