Forget about guillotines, spiders, Vincent Price and Frankenstein. This is a more down-to-earth, less twisted and surreal version of Alice, even if the record does occasionally touch base with the likes of From the Inside.
New York City rockers The Shrieks are back with a killer Lou Reed/The Velvet Underground cover, ‘There She Goes Again’. The bands’ no-nonsense approach is tailor-made for Reed’s track. In the hands of frontman Luis Accorsi, Luis has tread on the same sacred ground as Lou’s New York City in the 1970s, which screams realness that you can feel.
