Watch Pro-Shot Video of Metallica Playing “Whiskey In The Jar” at Louder Than Life

Metallica continues to share new pro-shot videos from their recent return to the stage. The band headlined the Danny Wimmer Presents festival Louder Than Life last weekend. They topped the bill on two nights, with two different shows, including one where they performed all of “The Black Album.” In addtion to upcoming fests like Aftershock and Welcome To Rockville, they also recently played series of rare intimate shows earlier this month at the The Metro in Chicago and The independent in San Francisco. The band texted their fans via a new service and the tickets to the tiny venues, and both shows sold out in less than 1 hour. Metallica just released The Black Album Remastered Boxed Set and The Black Album Blacklist covers album on September 10th, 2021. Watch Metallica and Miley Cyrus Perform “Nothing Eles Matters” on The Howard Stern Show

Metallica performed its classic song “Nothing Else Matters” with pop star Miley Cyrus on SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show” yesterday morning (Thursday, September 9). You can watch video of the performance below. Miley’s appearance was in celebration of release of the remastered deluxe box set of Metallica’s self-titled fifth album and also features Elton John, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith, frequent collaborator Andrew Watt and Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo. Appearing via video link, Elton told Howard his decision to play piano on the star-studded cover was an absolute “no-brainer.” “This is one of the best songs ever written, to me. It’s a song that never gets old. Playing on this track I just couldn’t wait because the chord structure, the melodies, the time changes — it’s got drama written all over it,” he said. Metallica has shared a previously unreleased cover by Ghost of “Enter Sandman” from the Black Album Blacklist record (Blackened Recordings), out today, September 10th, 2021. This cover is the first official recording from Ghost with frontman Papa Emeritus IV. The Blacklist is a massive tribute album by Pop and Rock stars the world over. Metallica aka “The Black Album” – sees a re-release this week in the form of The Black Album Remastered. Due out September 10th from Blackened Recordings. To celebrate thirty years of the biggest-selling album in rock or metal history, the band has long teased a celebration for their commercial blockbuster Metallica aka “The Black Album” all year.
