Rami Malek Wins Best Actor Oscar Award For Freddie Mercury Portrayal In “Bohemian Rhapsody

Rami Malek again brought home the trophy as he collected the prestigious Academy Award (a.k.a. the Oscars) last night in Hollywood. Malek has won every major best actor awards for his portrayal of legendary rock singer Freddie Mercury of Queen in Bohemian Rhapsody, now the largest grossing music biopic of all-time. Sadly, the film did not win for Best Picture, losing in an upset to another music-history-related film Green Book. Queen + Adam Lambert opened the Academy Awards last night by performing their hit singles ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘We Are The Champions’ at the top of the show. The band was introduced by actors Mike Myers and Dana Carvey, famous for their roles as Queen worshiping rockers in Wayne’s World. Myers also has a bit role in Bohemian Rhapsody.
