CONCERT REVIEW: Heathen – Arrival of Autumn – Invicta Live at The Kingsland


The night began in Brooklyn, at The Kingsland with Invicta, a Canadian band with some killer technical prowess and a Melodic Thrash sound. They are new to my ears and definitely a good find and worth your time. As the opening act, they immediately set the tone for the evening with their energetic performance. Their set was a perfect blend of aggression and melody, getting the crowd pumped up and ready for more.

Revive The Music Plans To Save Small Music Venues with Livestreams


Founded by No Limits Show host and Horns Up Rocks founder and presenter Jö Schüftan, Revive The Music is a new initiative trying to save our scene, focusing on raising funds for artists, music establishments, and production crew members affected by the pandemic. The events will be live stream concerts from bands, and run as a series of “seasons” – the debut event takes place this week with Killcode benefitting Arlene’s Grocery, on Friday, December 18th. Following the kick-off, Christmas Day brings Ferrett, benefitting Lucky 13, a New Year’s Day show with Charetta benefiting legendary venue The Bitter End, and Sworn Enemy benefiting The Kingsland on January 8thy, 2021. CONCERT REVIEW: Disciples of Verity – Patterns of Decay – Concrete Dream – Behind the Bullet Live at The Kingsland


With the release of two recent singles ‘Worthy’ and ‘Lying to Myself’ from their forthcoming album, Pragmatic Sanction (InGrooves), Disciples of Verity made their debut at The Kingsland in Brooklyn New York. No cover songs needed here, just what I believe is a set from their entire record. It also marks the return of God Forbid skins-man, Corey Pierce (finally). Every time he hit a cymbal, it felt like the kit was holding on for dear life.
