This new space has granted him the freedom to create songs you’d never find on a Slipknot record, for better or for worse. If you follow Taylor’s career exclusively because of Slipknot, CMFT (Roadrunner) might not be worth your time. Corey Taylor’s New Single ‘CMFT Must Be Stopped’ ft. Tech N9ne and Kid Bookie Due Out This Week


Corey Taylor will release the first music from his debut solo album on Wednesday, July 29. According to Spotify, the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman will unveil two songs, “Black Eyes Blue” and “CMFT Must Be Stopped”, the latter of which features hip-hop artists Tech N9ne and Kid Bookie. Taylor previously worked with Tech N9ne on a song called “Wither” in 2015, and with Kid Bookie on a reworked version of the rapper’s track “Stuck In My Ways” last year. Taylor’s album is due in September via Roadrunner with his band consisting of Jason Christopher on bass, Dustin Schoenhofer on drums, and Zach Throne and Christian Martucci (Stone Sour) on guitar.Continue reading

FESTIVAL REVIEW: ROCKLAHOMA 2019


Rocklahoma 2019. Three days in the sun, dust, and more sun over Memorial Day weekend (four days technically if you count the Thursday night pre-party). This was the 12 year of this annual festival and it was set to be one for the books from the get-go. Getting to this massive party was no small task on my part. Driving from New Hampshire to Oklahoma isn’t exactly a relaxing Sunday drive. Two full days of driving, two full-on tornadoes, and 1,700 miles later, I had arrived at my Air BnB in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
