Death grind supergroup SCOUR featuring Philip H. Anselmo (Pantera, Down, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Superjoint etc.), John Jarvis (Agoraphobic Nosebleed), Derek Engemann (Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, ex-Cattle Decapitation), Mark Kloeppel (Misery Index), and Adam Jarvis (Pig Destroyer, Misery Index) will finally release their long-anticipated Black EP, the third in a three-part series, next year via Housecore Records. The band has a history of covers at their shows and they are releasing a special Black Friday teaser their cover of Bathory classic, “Massacre.” Revolver is hosting an exclusive fan-filmed video clip of the track, captured at various shows through the years. Metal and Rock supergroup Imonolith (members ex-Devin Townsend Project, Threat Signal, Arkea, Methods of Mayhem, Econoline Crush) has shared a new teaser for their debut album, State of Being, due out on Match 27th 2020. Down Books Appearance At Graspop Metal Meeting For “NOLA 25 Tour”

The long-rumored Down reunion is in effect for 2020! The first date of a presumed world tour celebrating the Stoner-Doom supergroup’s legendary debut album NOLA releasing twenty-five years ago next year will begin at Graspop Metal Meeting. The band features current and former members of southern metal greats Pantera, EyeHateGod, COC, Crowbar, Honky and more. The fest takes place June 18-20 in Belgium and added seventy new bands to the bill today, including Down. The announcement comes less than a month after singer Philip Anselmo revealed that the band was in talks to reunite in 2020 for some shows in celebration of the 25th anniversary. No word if former members like co-founder Kirk Windstein (Crowbar, Kingdomm of Sorrow, Rex Brown (Pantera), or the recently retired again Todd Strange will participate. Continue reading

Cyhra (ex-Amaranthe, Ex-In Flames) Signs to Nuclear Blast, New Album Due This Yearr

Heavy Metal group Cyhra , featuring vocalist Jake E (ex-Amaranthe), guitarist Jesper Strömblad (ex-In Flames), guitarist Euge Valovirta (ex-Shining) and drummer Alex Landenburg (Luca Turilli’s Rhapsody), has signed a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast Records. The band’s sophomore full-length album should be released before the end of the year.  More details to be announced soon.
