The Rock For Ronnie Concert in the Park will take place on Sunday afternoon, May 7, 2023 at Los Encinos Historic Park in Encino, benefiting the. Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund (https://www.diocancerfund.org). The Rock For Ronnie event, slated to be an afternoon of live rock music, silent and live auctions, food trucks and fun geared to the entire family, is the cancer charity’s first post-Covid event back in the park. The event just named a who’s who of Rock and Heavy Metal luminaries for the finale/all-star jam.

Watch Mike Portnoy and Stu Hamm Cover Rush’s “YYZ” for David Z Fundraiser

Progressive Music legend Mike Portnoy (Sons Of Apollo, Dream Theater) has teamed up with bassist Stu Hamm, guitarist Paulie Z and keyboardist Walter Ino to record a cover version of the RUSH classic “YYZ”, filmed while they were in quarantine. The clip was premiered this past Tuesday (July 14) as part of the David Z Foundation’s third annual fundraising campaign livestream. This past January, Portnoy shot down rumors that he will tour with Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson as the replacement for late RUSH drummer Neil Peart. Peart died on January 10th. Stars from across Rock and Metal will join together on a livestream to raise money tonight on the David Z Foundation Livestream. David Z (David Zablidowsky) was the brilliant metal and progressive rock musician best known for his work in bands such as Adrenaline Mob, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and ZO2, died three years ago on July 17th, 2017 when a tractor-trailer collided with Adrenaline Mob’s tour bus. Ultimate Namm Night 2019 to Feature 80 Top Names In Rock And Metal

The long-running community oriented all-star jam show, Ultimate Jam Night, in residency at the Whisky A Go Go presents will hold its second annual show during The NAMM Show entitled “Ultimate NAMM Night – The Power of Music” on Saturday, January 26, 2018, at the Hilton Anaheim California Ballroom. The show will feature performances by an All-Star artist list that includes Steve Vai, Billy Sheehan, Tony Franklin, Doug Aldrich, Phil X, Stu Hamm, Charlie Benate, Rikki Rockett and many many more. Also included in will be full band performances by Flotsam & Jetsam, Sweet, and Marco Mendoza’s El Trio.
