Spiritbox, have released a new three-track single titled Rotoscope, their first new music since their chart-topping debut 2021 album, Eternal Blue (Rise Records, read our review here). the band had teased a new industrial, and 1990s grunge and alt-rock-tinged sound. The new drop is accompanied by an official music video directed by Max Moore which can be watched below. The full three new songs can be streamed on all DSPs and visualizers via a YouTube playlist too.
Lamb Of God will release their highly-anticipated new album Omens, on October 7th, 2022. Via Epic Records. The first single, “Nevermore,” arrives on Friday, June 10. Omens was produced by longtime collaborator Josh Wilbur (Korn, Megadeth). The New Wave Of American Heavy Metal architects will support the new album with a massive Live Nation produced U.S. headlining tour, The Omens Tour, featuring special guests Killswitch Engage on all dates. Different legs will also see support from Baroness, Motionless In White, Spiritbox, Animals As Leaders as well as Suicide Silence and Fit For An Autopsy. Ghost has announced a headline tour of North America -. The North American “Imperatour” will see the band continue supporting their acclaimed Impera album (Loma Vista) at 19 arenas across the U.S. and Canada (plus an appearance at Virginia’s Blue Ridge Rock Fest), kicking off August 26 at San Diego’s Pechanga Arena and running through September 23 at the Resch Center in Green Bay. The Juno Awards, the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy Awards, were held this past weekend, with the ‘Opening Night Awards’ ceremony, which was held at Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto on Saturday (May 14th, 2022), and the main ceremony for broadcast on May 15th, 2022. In an upset, Archspire won “Heavy Music Album of The Year” for their stellar album Bleed The Future which released via Season of Mist in 2021. The Technical Death Metal band won against a crowded field of great nominees, including Spiritbox, Danko Jones, The Agonist, and Brand of Sacrifice. The broadcast was hosted by Simu Liu, star of the box-office smash Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. This was the first in-person Juno ceremony in three years, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Spiritbox has added an additional second headline concert in London, due to overwhelming demand, after their Download Festival performance. Their debut headline UK performance on Monday 13th June last week, the show promptly sold out in under a minute. The band will now perform at the O2 Academy, Islington, on Tuesday 14th June as well. Age restrictions for both shows are 8+, though under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. There will be no pre-sales for the second night and fans will be restricted to purchasing 2 tickets each only. Tickets go on sale at 10am GMT this Friday 4th March at the link below.
As we return back to concerts, one not to be missed is the current tour with Underoath, Spiritbox, and Bad Omens (with Stray From the Path jumping on at a later date). I made the trip to San Antonio this past weekend full of nerves in anticipation of what I knew was going to be a killer show. I was not alone in my thoughts as I noticed a crowd of people lined up block long all clamoring to get into The Aztec Theatre. The band will travel to London for what is sure to be a sold-out show at the O2 Academy, Islington, on Monday, 13th June. Age restrictions for the show are 8+, though under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets for the one-off date are expected to sell very quickly. Pre-sale tickets will be available from 10am GMT on Wednesday, 23rd February from Live Nation and the Spiritbox fan club, as well as via the venue and O2 app. Tickets will then go on general sale at 10am GMT on Friday, 25th February.
