Mongolian “Hunnu Rock” band The Hu has added a bunch of festival dates to their spring schedule. Notably, they have joined the lineups for Sonic Temple, Welcome To Rockville, Epicenter and MMRBQ. Metallica to Headline Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life, Aftershock, Welcome To Rockville, and Epicenter Festivals in 2020


Metallica has announced, in conjunction with Danny Wimmer Presents that the band will headline all of their major rock and metal festivals in 2020! In an unprecedented move, the biggest band of all-time will perform two nights of each three-night event, and play totally different sets each night. More details and many more bands to be announced for all of those fests, the first being Epicenter, which is about 203 days away. Other fests include Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life, Aftershock, and Welcome To Rockville. Tickets on sale this Monday, 10/14 at 9 AM PST/ Noon EST.

The Cult Announces “Sonic Temple” 30th Anniversary Reissues


The Cult has been celebrating their landmark Sonic Temple album this year with tours and now will release a deluxe boxed set. Beggars Arkive will release The Cult: Sonic Temple 30 on September 13. It will be released as a deluxe box set and a 5-CD set, plus the label will reissue a Sonic Temple on Double LP, which has been out of print for over 20 years. The sets both contain limited-release demos in addition to previously unreleased tracks. (Full details and track-listings are below.) Preorders are available here. The band announced more Sonic Temple tour dates. After a run of hugely successful and completely sold-out U.S. West Coast tour dates, they will play 10 shows in the UK in October (dates below). Originally released in 1989, Sonic Temple proved to be a pivotal moment for both the band and the wider rock scene. The Cult Books Frist Leg of “Sonic Temple” Tour Dates


The Cult has announced a new spate of tour dates in support of their brand new re-issues of their classic SonicTemple album via Beggars Banquet Records this year. Led by Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy, the British rock legends will embark on select dates in North America and the UK starting May 2 in Houston, TX (itinerary below). The setlist will, of course, raw from the Sonic Temple album and their other hits. Prayers, Zola Jesus and Vowws will provide direct support for these shows. The Distillers To Release First New Album in Fifteen Years In 2019


The Distillers have been on hiatus since 2007, and haven’t put a new album out since 2003’s Coral Fang (Sire). Vocalist Brody Dalle posted to her Facebook that the band is making a new album for 2019. The band will take part in music festivals like Sonic Temple, Reading and Leeds Festivals, with more dates to come. System Of A Down Bassist Shavo Odadjian Still Thinks They Will Make Music Again


In the on-going he said – he said between members of System of A Down, bassist Shavo Odadjian believes the band will again make music someday. He also expressed in a new interview that he is disappointed with how some of the back and forth between the members has played out in the music press.
