A plethora of bands will descend on Chicago for the return of Riot Fest! Nine Inch Nails, Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, DEVO, NOFX, Dinosaur Jr., Motion City Soundtrack, Smashing Pumpkins, Run the Jewels, Pixies, Circle Jerks, Coheed & Cambria, K.Flay, Meg Myers, Les Savy Fav, and many others to perform. My Chemical Romance has been announced as the first headliner for 2022 and tickets are on sale for both this year and next years’ fests at the link below. Riot Fest takes place every year at Douglass Park this fall (September 17–19) with a pair of announcements both for this year, and next year. In an unprecedented move, festival organizers are revealing the lineup for 2021, along with tickets for 2022. Three-day passes for both years are now on sale; 2021 single-day passes will go on sale next week, when more bands for 2021 will be announced.

Yesterday, Alice In Chains was awarded the prestigious Founders Award from Seattle’s Museum of Pop Culture (MoPop). They were celebrated for their 30-year career by a cadre of their friends and peers playing AIC covers from the Rock and Metal world such as Metallica, Korn, Mastodon, Slipknot’s Corey Taylor, and Fishbone, as well as members of Guns N’ Roses, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Jane’s Addiction, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, and others. Alice In Chains also performed their first show since the end of their tour cycle for 2018’s Rainier Fog album in 2019. Smashing Pumpkins Book Intimate Venues for the Rock Invasion 2 Tour


The Smashing Pumpkins have booked a short headline tour of intimate rooms in North America for this spring. Rock Invasion 2 tour – a sequel to their iconic 1993 Tour that spanned the globe, will kick off on April 23rd in Louisville, KY and will end in Greensboro, NC on May 8th. Tickets for Rock Invasion 2 will go on sale to the general public starting Friday, March 6th at 10:00am local time and can be purchased at the links below. Produced by Live Nation, the Rock Invasion 2 Tour will bring the iconic rockers to intimate venues, featuring a heavier rock set of songs spanning the band’s entire catalog. The tour will feature Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin, James Iha, and Jeff Schroeder alongside bassist Jack Bates.
