Marilyn Manson is Finishing His New Album with Shooter Jennings


Marilyn Manson posted to his Instagram account today that he was in the final process of his new album, recorded with Outlaw Country artist and producer Shooter Jennings. The album is tentatively slated for release in late 2019 via Manson’s label Hell Inc/Cooking Vinyl. Manson and Jennings previously teamed up in 2016 to record a cover version of David Bowie’s ‘Cat People (Putting Out Fire)’ for Jennings’s Countach (For Giorgio) LP, a covers collection featuring songs by electronic-music pioneer Giorgio Moroder. Jennings produced the lastest solo album by Duff McKagan as well. Manson’s new album will be the first since his acclaimed 2017 album Heaven Upside Down. Continue reading


Shooter Jennings Featured In The New Season Of The Punisher


Marvel’s The Punisher Season 2 dropped yesterday and hopefully, it won’t be its last since it’s easily one of the best of the Marvel Netflix series there is. Certainly Punisher the most hardcore violent and true to the comic series (think Garth Ennis’ run for true fans). Music has always played a big role in these Netflix shows with Tyler Bates (Marilyn Manson, movie scores) composing the theme to Punisher, metal being used for Punisher trailers, Manson’s own ‘Fated, Faithful, Faithful’ in a season one episode, the use of Hip Hop, RnB, Jazz and Blues in both seasons of Luke Cage, and old-school Rap in Iron Fist. Outlaw Country finally got it’s due in the Season two premiere of Punisher- Roadhouse Blues, Shooter Jennings and his band play the bar band in the main locale for the episode. They performed the tracks ‘The Outsider’, his hit song ‘Outlaw You’, ‘Wild and Lonesome’, ‘The Other Life’, and ‘The Real Me’. Duff McKagan Nears Completion Of New Solo Album, Shooter Jennings Producing


Rock legend Duff McKagan, who has released new music with both Guns N Roses and Walking Papers this year is putting the finishing touches on his next solo album. Produced by Shooter Jennings, the two worked out of Station House studios in Echo Park, CA, in-between McKagan’s tour with GNR and the release of Jennings’ eponymous album, Shooter. The album is due on 2019, and is the musical follow-up to 2015’s bestselling book, How To Be A Man (And Other Illusions).Continue reading
