The Documentary Film About Late Blind Melon Frontman Shannon Hoon Due for Release in 2020


After many years in the works, a documentary that using video footage shot by and about Blind Melon’s Shannon Hoon is expected to be released in 2020. All I Can Say had a test screening at 2019’s Tribeca Film festival and was created with footage the late frontman conceived and shot shot between 1990 to 1995. His friend and photographer, and former touring bandmate Danny Clinch had over 200 hours of footage. He created a Kickstarter back in 2015 to fund a film made from the clips. The film currently screening at festivals but will have a wider release in 2020. Hoon died of a drug overdose on October 21st, 1995. The band has continued without him sporadically ever since. Clinch is a well-known photographer and documentary filmmaker who has helmed many films including two award-winning concert films and documentaries about Pearl Jam. Continue reading


Blind Melon Books Headline Tour Dates, Working On New Music


Essential 1990s band Blind Melon has booked a string of upcoming tour dates. The band has been touring off and on for the last few years and have intimated that they have been writing new music for a future single and album release. The band has been performing with singer Travis Warren since 2006, and on occasion late lead singer Shannon Hoon’s daughter Nico. Blind Melon’s last album For My Friends was self-released in 2008 and was the first since Nico’s namesake album in 1996. Continue reading
