Brad and Satchel Singer Shawn Smith Dies, Age 53

Sad news had come down as Shawn Smith, vocalist for Pearl Jam side-project Brad as well as Satchel and Piegeonhead passed away on April 5th from complications from a long battle with diabetes. He was 53. Smith was a golden-voiced, underrated frontman from the Seattle 1990s scene. He also was an early member of Twilight Singers together with Greg Dulli from Afghan Whigs and released ten solo albums, including 1999’s Let It All Begin. Steel Panther – Lower the Bar
