Sylvaine is the pseudonym of Norway’s Kathrine Shepard, a classically trained composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist. Since 2014 Shepard has been releasing albums as Sylvaine, of which Nova (Season of Mist) will be the fourth (not counting a 2020 split with Unreqvited).

Another night another show at Saint Vitus Bar. There’s a certain magic to the venue. The fact that there is an entire cult of people in New York City who realize if they go on any given night they are going to find music that they want to see. Music of a darker sort, the kind of stuff that is hard to discover but once you do there is no escape. SAOR – Forgotten Paths


Folk Metal is a curious genre. Oftentimes it can be undeservingly treated with ridicule; when a pair of violins and a flute appear onstage alongside a BC Rich plenty of jeers can come the way of the performers. Blood Incantation, Un, and Osi And The Jupiter Booked For Fire In The Mountains Fest


 

Fire In The Mountains has booked another mini-wave of new bands for the 2019 festival. Blood Incantation, Un and Osi and The Jupiter have all joined the bill. This is in addition to last week’s announcement of The Ruins Of Beverast, Saor, and Munly And The Lupercalians, FITM takes place July 12th, 13th and 14th outside of Jackson, Wyoming. More bands coming soon! The fest will once again include camping at nearby Heart Six Ranch. Attendees can eat, drink, and camp on location and will also have access to sponsored hiking trips, whitewater rafting, backpacking, fishing, canoeing, horseback rides, and other outdoor activities during daytime hours preceding the musical performances in the evening.
