Bloodstock Festival Adds More Bands, Tickets On Sale Now

Bloodstock Festival (aka Bloodstock Open Air or BOA) has added five more bands to its already stacked line-up for 2015. New to the bill are reformed sludge metallers Raging Speedhorn, prog-metal exports Xerath, Trepalium, Villainy and Godsized. Taking place August 6th – 9th at Walton on Trent, Derbyshire UK. Tickets are on sale now by phone (24hr ticketline at 0871 230 5584 )or online and include an array of camping and VIP ticket options. Camper van pitches are now all sold out.

Already announced to the bill over four massive stages are major acts such as Friday’s headliner Trivium and special guests Sabaton, Saturday’s headliner Within Temptation and special guests Opeth, Sunday’s headliner Rob Zombie and special guests Black Label Society, also Cannibal Corpse, Ihsahn, Sepultura, Orange Goblin, Death T.A, Nuclear Assault, 1349, Napalm Death, Dark Angel, Armored Saint, Belphegor, Overkill, Ensiferum, Agalloch, Korpiklaani, Pro-Pain, Enslaved, Wolf, Delain, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Godflesh, Lawnmower Deth, Mordred, Ethereal, Onslaught, Oaf, Pritchard Vs Dainton, Conan, Planet Of Zeus, Bast, Saille, Batallion, Destrage with more bands to be announced in the coming weeks.

 


Nightwish Launch Elan Cover Video Contest

Nightwish have announced a video contest for their fans to cover their new single ‘Élan’. The song is from their forthcoming album Endless Forms Most Beautiful, releasing on March 30th from Nuclear Blast.

The contest encourages any conceivable format for a self-made fan video performing the song Élan. Sign language speakers/interpreters, jazz flutists, cellists, ukulele & theremin players, expert whistlers, vocalists, guitarists, bassists, drummers and keyboard players are all invited to create a video and enter.

Metal Tribute to The Bee Gees Post Single, Touring the UK This Week

Tragedy the Metal tribute to disco act The Bee Gees have posted a new single, a cover of the anthem from the musical film Grease, ‘Your the One That I Want’. See the video below:

 

 

 

The video has over 150,000 hits on YouTube in the first week. The band have also booked a UK tour, kicking off later this week.

Black Metal Masters Carach Angren Stream Entire New Album

Dutch Symphonic Black Metallers Carach Angren are streaming their entire new album This Is No Fairytale (Season of Mist) at this location. Due for release next week on February 24th, the album was recorded by Patrick Damiani and the band last June and is was mixed by Peter Tägtgren and mastered by Jonas Kjellgren. The album is said to be a concept album the origins of which the band commented:

(It is an) Utterly dark tale of two desperate children on a terrible quest to escape total darkness. As music and lyrics take you from chapter to chapter you will learn about the inevitable outcome… This Is No Fairytale”

Kansas, known as “The Greatest American Progressive Rock Band” has a documentary film titled Miricles Out of Nowhere, telling the bands “untold story” coming soon.
