Wacken Open Air, Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park, and Bang Your Head Festivals are All Canceled Over Coronavirus


 

Germany is home to the greatest metal festivals in the world including Wacken Open Air, Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park, and Bang Your Head Festivals and now they are all canceled after the German federal government banned all major events in the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic. German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced tentative steps to slowly start returning the country to normal, explaining that no large events such as soccer matches, concerts and festivals will be allowed before the end of August at the earliest. This comes in addition to personal lockdown, which has been extended through May 3. Wacken posted a message on their Facebook announcing the cancelation. Continue reading


Beartooth Shares Video For – “Bad Listener”, Tour Dates Booked


Beartooth has shared a performance video for their track ‘Bad Listener’. The performance video was shot at the bands’ performance at Rock Am Ring this past summer. The Columbus, Ohio-based band took the stage in front of over 70,000 music fans from across Europe. System of A Down Announce More Shows For Summer 2020


System of A Down has already been announced for festivals such as Download in 2020, and now added new festivals and headline shows for Europe next summer. All dates are below, but not all are on sale yet. The band played a couple of U.S. Music festivals this past May, including headlining slots at Columbus, Ohio’s Sonic Temple Festival and Chicago Open Air which Ghost Cult attended and were as great as ever! The band has repeatedly teased making new music, only to fight in the press and blame creative differences as to why they are not making a new album any time soon. Singer Alex Varkatzas To Sit Out Atreyu’s Upcoming Festival Dates In Europe


Tough news as Atreyu’s Alex Varkatzas has announced he won’t be taking part due to critical back pain issues and other health concerns. Alex long statement explaining the situation, the frontman has reassured fans that the rest of the band will still be playing the shows as planned, and that he should be making his return in time for their Rockstar Energy Disrupt Festival run starting on June 21.Continue reading


Alice In Chains Books 2019 European Tour


Alice In Chains has booked an extensive tour of Europe, including the UK for spring 2019. The band continues to support their recent release Rainier Fog (BMG). Kicking off on May 23rd in Glasgow, the 14-date tour includes three UK shows, with a date at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena on the 24th and Wembley The SSE Arena on the 25th. These will be the biggest headline shows the band have played to date in the UK. Direct support on some of the shows will come from Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Slipknot Books Festivals And Headline Tour Of Europe Next Summer

In addition to the just-announced headline spot at Download 2019, Slipknot has announced a summer tour to go along with their previously announced headline show in the USA at the Iowa State Fair, in their hometown of Des Moines Iowa. The European tour includes head festival appearances at Rockfest Finland, Rock Im Park, Rock Am Ring, Novarock, Copenhell, Graspop Metal Meeting, Mystic Festival Poland, Download Spain, and Ressurection Festival in Spain. James Iha To Miss Upcoming Tour With A Perfect Circle


A Perfect Circle’s new album Eat The Elephant is a little over a month away from dropping and the band is lining up a much-anticipated headline tour to match. Sadly, due to his commitments in this summer’s Smashing Pumpkins reunion, James Iha cannot join APC on tour. The band has recruited Failure bassist Greg Edwards to fill-in.
