Roadburn Adds Grails, Uran, Hexvessel, Coilguns, Crowhurst, Dodecahedron And More!


 

Roadburn continues to add to its bill for next spring! 2019 curator Tomas Lindberg (At The Gates) adds more names to The Burning Darkness including Grails, Uran, Fontän and Hexvessel! Hexvesel will perform All Tree in full. Other notables include a Dutch black metal showcase commissioned project Maalstroom (members of Laster, Verwoed, Witte Wieven, Turia, Fluisteraars, Grey Aura, Terzij De Horde, Folteraar, Nefast). Aaron Turner, Will Brooks and Dennis Tyfus come together as Doolhof. Also added are Bismuth, Coilguns, Crowhurst, Crowhurst & Gnaw Their Tongues unite in Harsh Noise, Fauna , Fotocrime , Lucy In Blue, Pharmakon, Thor & Friends, Twin Temple, and Wrong. Thou Kicks Off West Coast Tour Tonight, Including “Quiet Shows”


Thou kicks off a huge slate of west coast tour dates tonight riding high on another prolific year of incredible new music with five new releases in 2018 (I Have Become Your Pupil (Split with The Hirs Collective), The House Primordial, Inconsolable, Rhea Sylvia and Magus. The band is hitting the road with MJ Guider, and other like-minded bands like Lingua Ignota, Blood Incantation, Many Blessings, Euth and more followed by more midwest and east coast dates in 2019, a residency at Roadburn 2019, and much more next year. The Devil’s Blood Members Come Together As Molasses At Roadburn 2019


Roadburn has commissioned a special band debut for its 2019 edition: Molassess. Molasses spawned from the former members of The Devil’s Blood and Selim Lemouchi & His Enemies along with allies such as Marcel van der Vondervoort of Astrosoniq, Bob Hogenelst (Birth of Joy) and Matthijs Stronks (Donnerwetter). This new band carries the spirit of their previous bands, but in all new music, not a tribute act. Roadburn Announces Tom G. Warrior’s Celtic Frost/Triptykon Requiem For 2019


In a stunning announcement former Roadburn artist and curator Thomas Gabriel Fischer, a.k.a. Tom G. Warrior will mark his return to Roadburn in 2019 with a full performance of Celtic Frost/Triptykon Requiem on Friday, April 12. The three-part Requiem comes complete with orchestral accompaniment via Dutch Metropole Orkest! More details below. The first part of the three-part Requiem appeared on Celtic Frost’s Into The Pandemonium and was titled Rex Irae. The third part, titled Winter was brought to life on the Celtic Frost album Monotheist in 2006, and until now, the missing second part has remained incomplete. Continue reading


Morne Booked For Roadburn 2019, New Album Out Now


Boston sludge and doom band Morne has been announced for a special performance next spring at the prestigious Roadburn Festival in The Netherlands. For the band, it will be their second time performing at the festival. They’ll appear on April 13th alongside Mono, Myrkur: Folkesange, Marissa Nadler, Deaf Kids, Agrimonia, Sleep and more. Roadburn Festival 2019 has expanded with more bands and named their Artist In Residence. Cave In, Old Man Gloom, Thou (artist in residence), Daughters, Henrik Palm (as part of Tomas Linberg’s special curation of the fest), Drab Majesty, Ulcerate, Imperial Triumphant (full Vile Majesty live performance), Gold, Wolvenst with special guests, Messa, and Mord’a’stigmata. Sleep, Birds In A Row, Midnight Booked For Roadburn 2019


Roadburn Festival, already the worlds’ foremost underground music festival has named Sleep as the headliner for the 2019 edition of the festival. The band will celebrate with two epic headline sets, performing their classic Holy Mountain one night and their latest release The Sciences (Third Man) the next. Tomas Lindberg of At The Gates (Disfear, The Great Deceiver, ex-Lockup) is the curator of Roadburn 2019, and names such as Gore, Have A Nice Life, Heilung, Louise Lemón, Midnight, Seven That Spells, Vile Creature, have been announced.
