Power Trip Books First Official Comeback Show Since The Death of Riley Gale at No Values Fest 2024
Power Trip has booked its first show since original vocalist Riley Gale’s death. The band will perform at the new Goldenvoice punk festival No Values on June 8 in Pomona, California. Also schedule to appear on the bill are the “Original Misfits,” Social Distortion, Iggy Pop, Turnstile, Bad Religion, Sublime, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Damned, and Joyce Manor, and many more. Seth Gilmore of Skourge/Fugitive who filled in on vocals for the late Riley Gale, founder and frontman of Power Trip, who died in August 2020, at the age of 34. Lamb Of God Postpones European Tour with Kreator Until 2022
Lamb Of God have confirmed that due to restrictions in various territories, they have had to postpone their intended ‘State Of Unrest’ UK headline tour until late 2022. Lamb Of God’s headline UK trek will now take place December 2022. German Thrash kings Kreator are still on the bill. Joining them are Thy Art Is Murder and Gatecreeper. Power Trip is now off the bill, following the passing of frontman Riley Gale in August of 2020.
Power Trip Releases Manifest Decimation and Nightmare Logic on Special Edition Vinyl
As we approach the one year anniversary of the death of Riley Gale of Power Trip, the band in conjunction with his family have released new special vinyl edtiions of the bands’ classic albums Manifest Decimation and Nightmare Logic. These are available for pre-order at their Bandcamp, and and proceeds from the sale of these albums will go “directly to The Riley Gale Memorial Foundation, which will benefit several causes that Riley held dear” – according to a message from the band. Fox News Reporter Greg Gutfeld Pays Tribute to Power Trip’s Riley Gale
We are still reeling from the devastating loss of Riley Gale of Power Trip, who died Monday night. Fox News‘ program ‘The Five‘ was originally not the most favorite show of late Gale, but they paid tribute to him. The show’s resident metalhead, Greg Gutfeld paid a heartfelt tribute and talked about becoming friends, and how they became friends. When the band was originally mentioned the show, their use of their music was met with a tweet of ‘cease & desist’ and their fans followed suit. Gutfeld reported that Riley died in his sleep”, but that has not been confirmed by the family yet. He also said he thinks, everyone should “buy Nightmare Logic and make it go to number 1.” The two guys from different worlds and different points of view had a meeting of the minds, not a surprise if you knew Riley, who was a great uniter of peoples. Rising Metal Legend and Power Trip Vocalist Riley Gale Dies, Fellow Rockers Mourn
Terrible news for the music world as published reports announced that Power Trip frontman Riley Gale, has passed away. He was 34 (UPDATE: Riley’s age was originally said to be 35, and we have edited this story). Power Trip ascended to the new wave of American Metal, combining Crossover Thrash and Hardcore, partly on the strength of Riley’s incredible performances, brilliant politically-minded lyrics, and killer style. No cause of death has been revealed and according to a statement from the band, funeral and visitation arrangements are pending. Riley was a brilliant talent and mind, and he will be missed. Many leaders of the music world paid respect from Ice-T of Body Count, Lamb of God, Code Orange, Slipknot, Hatebreed, Jesus Piece, Anthrax, Thursday, Thrice, Machine Head, Creeping Death and more you can read below. The band has been one of the best in the world live in a short period of time.
