Rammstein is Writing New Music During The Quarantine

Rammstein has revealed that they are using the time off from touring during the pandemic to write new music. The news of possible new material from the German industrial metallers was broken by the band’s drummer, Christoph Schneider, during an appearance Saturday (June 13) on the “Rodeo Radio” podcast, which airs on Germany’s Radio Bob! Last month, Rammstein postponed its 2020 North American stadium tour which was due to kick off on August 20 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and conclude on September 27 in Mexico City, Mexico. The band also announced the rescheduled dates for its European stadium tour. The trek was originally slated to take place this summer but was postponed due to coronavirus pandemic restrictions. The new Rammstein European shows will take place in May, June, July and August 2021, with all tickets purchased for the original concerts valid for the new dates.

Rammstein Closes In On New Album, Release And World Tour For 2019

As we previously reportedRammstein are completing their long-awaited new album, due out in 2019. Likely due to be their final album and world tour, the new records will be their first since 2009’s Liebe Ist Für Alle Da. According to a new interview with guitarist Richard Z. Kruspe, he has revealed that the new album will be mixed at a Los Angeles studio beginning in mid-December with Rich Costey (Muse, Rage Against The Machine And Franz Ferdinand). The band plans to tour for at least three years following the release. The band already announced a string of dates for next summer. Continue reading
